Privacy

We collect only what we need to ship you a candle. We don't sell your data. We comply with PIPEDA (Canadian privacy law).

What we collect

• Order data: name, email, shipping address, phone (optional), what you ordered.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number.
• Email captures: if you sign up for the newsletter, we keep your email and a record of where you signed up.
• Analytics: aggregate page-view stats via PostHog. We turn off detailed event tracking and respect "Do Not Track" headers.

What we don't collect

• Detailed browsing fingerprints, cross-site tracking, advertising profiles.
• Your card number, CVV, or banking information (Stripe handles all of that).
• Your contacts, photos, or anything not directly related to fulfilling your order.

Who we share data with

Only the third parties we need to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — order database hosting
• Resend — transactional email (order confirmations, shipping)
• Cloudflare — site hosting and security
• The shipping supplier — name and address only, to ship the candle

We never sell, trade, or rent your data. We never share data with advertisers.

Your rights (PIPEDA)

You can request, at any time:

• A copy of all data we hold on you
• Correction of any data that's wrong
• Deletion of your account and associated data

Email help@eclait.com with the request. We respond within 30 days. We have to keep order records for accounting purposes (Canadian tax law requires 6 years), but personal data outside of that — gone.

Cookies

Functional cookies only — your cart contents (so it survives a page refresh) and your auth session if you've logged in. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels.
